We spent the Fourth of July in Pismo Beach, Ca with the hubby's side of the family: dad, step-mom, brother, sis-in-law and our nephews and niece.
The men mapped out an intricate plan of action in order to get a great parking spot and area on the beach, scoping it all out the night before.
We spent a good 12 hours down there that day, minus an attempt back at the house to make our littles take a nap. A pitiful, unsuccessful attempt.
We made and packed up our picnic and headed back for dinner and the show.
Being on the beach and watching the fireworks from the pier was quite wonderful.
The other people lighting off their huge fireworks right next to us was not so wonderful for the kiddos. But they made it through.
Half of the kids fell asleep, but not Tayden! He was talking with Rich the whole way through. He just loved it. And stayed up the latest he ever has in his life.
