Menu Monday, Bite by Bite

Do you remember the movie Mermaids with Cher, Winona Ryder, and a bitty Christina Ricci? And how the mom, Cher, only served finger foods?

I could so adopt that philosophy.

There's something about tiny bites that just evoke a sense of whimsy and fun. A bit carefree.

Then I got Peter Callahan's book Bite by Bite. It rocked my ever-loving-finger-food mind.

I talked to him via Twitter (did you know you could do that? ;)) and he joked about how he's been doing mini's for 15 years, and just glad the trend finally caught on. With a forward by THE Martha Stewart, he has a resume with quite a bit of clout. And once you open his beautifully photographed book, you soon realize why.

Whether you call them finger foods, small bites, minis, whatever, this weeks menu will be all about it. Oh, you heard me right. Get your fingers ready.

Here's to you, Mr. Callahan. Thank you for sparking my mind to think bigger with the smaller things in life.
