The Flowers That Never Die

A simple technique. A lasting smile. These little yarn flowers brighten up those corners where that punch of light is missing.

The other brilliant thing about these flowers is they cost a total of $4 to make 12! Hit up your local dollar store for some floral wire (ours had some fun colors) and a bag of styrofoam balls.

Warm up your hot glue gun and grab a styrofoam ball and an end of yarn. Glue down the end of yarn and start wrapping around and around...and around some more. Once all the styrofoam is covered, cut the yarn and glue the end down also. Next, take your floral wire and insert into the ball.

Cut the wire to desired length and repeat with another.
The bags I bought had three different sizes of spheres. With the itty bitty ones I wrapped three together and glued a rhinestone in the middle of where they met up.

I ran out of floral wire after eight flowers (because I wanted them extra long to make more of a dramatic statement) but had four yarn balls left over. I used them to decorate the food table at Sedae's party and are now fun play toys for her!
